Anna Paquin
Anna Paquin has been an actress across Canada as well as New Zealand for over a decade. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and first made her acting debut as Flora McGrath when she played the role as Flora in The Piano. Following a prompt to auditions open at age nine and having no previous experience in acting when she was selected for the role of Flora McGrath part. Flora was the daughter of the Scottish musician who was blind. They were relocated to New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century in an effort to get married. When she was a teenager, her family moved from Canada and eventually to United States. Paquin began her career in the midst of her childhood with a part as the Jane Eyre protagonist in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre as well as an important role of Fly Away Home. Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played Queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 movie Amistad. She portrayed teens as teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
