Emily Bett Rickards was born in July 1991. She is an Canadian actor best known for her role as Felicity on The CW's television show Arrow. Rickards was born on the coast of British Columbia, is Canadian. Starting her professional path as a child, she introduced herself to dance and theatre with the hope of later introducing herself to more serious acting. She graduated from high school earlier and enrolled in the Vancouver Film School, completing the Acting Essentials Course. When she completed the program, she auditioned for an open audition, which led to a booking agent. Alida Vocal Studio was her home for her studies in Vancouver. She was originally signed to perform in an episode of the show, but her positive reactions from viewers and her ability to sarcasm was the catalyst for her to first appear as a guest-star and later, as a co-star for the remaining episodes of season 1.
